Hello Erik,

basically, what you describe looks correct. The command line argument
-variable is the way to pass a variable to QF-Test with a stronger
binding that variables bound at test-suite level.

I suggest you (re)read manual chapter 8


to get familiar with QF-Test's way of handling variables. Then modify
your test-suite so it runs into an error after trying to look up the
value passed from the command line. In the run-log you'll find a
'Stacktrace' node close just before the screenshots for the error. It
shows all variable bindings on the primary and fallback stack and by
selecting a line you can examine the individual values.
