Testing applets in the Internet Explorer (or any other browser) is possible
with qftestJUI for quite a while now (exactly since Nov. 2004 with Version
1.07.0) See also http://www.qfs.de/en/qftestJUI/relnotes-1.07.0.html

Instructions how to start the browser from qftestJUI can be found in manual
"Chapter 3 Running an application from qftestJUI" and "3.2.5 An applet in a web
browser".

Best regards,
    Karl
