RE: [QF-Test] Regarding Log Messages

Hi Greg,

The rc.check(1, "!_skipped_: ...") produces a "Check OK: !_skipped_: ..." output in the Log.

This is similar to "rc.logMessage(' Test Case ID Check 3 !_skipped_: .')"

The problem here is we get a lot of warnings due to other component recognitions.
We do not give significant importance to the overcome the warnings at this point of time as long as the scripts are executed as expected.
The rc.logWarning($(msg)) will club the message with other warnings and will again be a tough job for distinguish this amongst other warnings.

If a Blue square encapsulates the nodes at the high-level where we log a warning or information that would be fine.

We're used to logging such information using the Rational Functional Tester earlier.

Greetings,
Alfred

Hi Alfred,

for messages without an error level of Warning, Error or Exception
there naturally is nothing to propagate in the run-log.

Also, if you are using compact run-logs, nodes that do not contribute
to the report may be removed.

Perhaps logging your "verification skipped" messages at warning level
might be a good compromise. Otherwise you can either make the run-log
non-compact or use rc.check with a message starting wit '!' and some
keyword that you can easily search for , e.g.

rc.check(1, "!_skipped_: ...")

Best regards,
    Greg
