Hi again,

in my previous mail I forgot to mention that qftestJUI records the co-ordinates of the mouse-click relatively from the component where it was taken place, instead of recording absolute co-ordinates of mouse-clicks.

In the manual of qftestJUI there is chapter 24.1 about Drag & Drop.

Martin

Hello Srinivas,

qftestJUI records all mouse-events which are involved in a drag&drop
action and on all those events you can specify a target-component, where
the event takes place. This works quite well for drag&drop on lists,
tables or trees. You can also create DRAG_FORM and DRAG_TO events in your
test-suite.

But to get a better overview of qftestJUI's features, you can download
qftestJUI (http://www.qfs.de/en/qftestJUI/download.html), register for a
free evaluation license and try qftestJUI with your application.

Regards,
Martin

Hi,

I wonder if you could clarify a little question for me!

I work as a Senior test analyst at Mycom International, a supplier of
network performance management tools. We have an in-house test team and
are exploring the possibilities of automating the test processes. The
application is mostly built on Java and there is an extensive drag and
drop functionality.

We have tried QTP and Winrunner to record these actions, but they both
record the co-ordinates on the system that is being tested on. As such,
those tests are not working on other systems where the monitor sizes
differ and so the co-ordinates differ.

So, the question I have is: Can the qftestJUI handle the drag and drop
functionality without remembering (or recording the co-ordinates) so that
it can work on any system?

An early response would be much appreciated.

Thanks & regards,

Srinivas
