yes - this is possible: we used this approach within our project.
Without confirming to collect all information I note below a few
points we did:

In the file we put the one line: warning /QFTEST FAILURE/
(We handle a QFTest failure only as warning but not as error)
- For the jenkins job we created a script which
calls the QFTest or QFTestSuite to execute which results in
QFTEST SUCCESS or QFTEST FAILURE.
This script we call in the jenkins job configuration element
- In the "console ouput parsing" element we
defined to use as parsing rule "QFTEST_ERROR"

I’m launching QFTest from Jenkins, which
performs a “Run QF-Test” build step to execute a QF-Test test
suite (I’m using the QFTest 1.0.2 Jenkins plugin).
I would like to either pass or fail the
enclosing Jenkins job based on the result of the QFTest tests.
Is that possible ?
