Hi Oscar,

There are at least two ways of achieving this.

The first one is to use QFTest in daemon mode (refer to the manual at http://www.qfs.de/qftest/manual/en/user_testexecution.html#usec_execdaemon).

The concept is to have several QFTest instances, each of them running on a workstation with the SUT. Then you have one QFTest daemon instance running somewhere else and this guy will orchestrate the execution of the TestSuites/TestSets/TestCases on the remote QFTest instances. All your QFTest instances must be reachable through the network for this to work.

The other option is to have one single QFTest instance controlling multiple clients. Those clients do not have to be on the same workstations.

There are a few limitations/tricks for this to work which go beyond your initial question. But basically it will be up to the SUTs to connect to a running QFTest instance (and not the usual way of QFTest starting up the SUT) and you will need to use the –threads argument of QFTest, which is only available in batch mode.

Hope it helps,

Denis GAUTHIER

Hope everyone is well.

I was wondering if QF-Test had the ability to perform tests across multiple networked workstations. For example, can I start QF-Test on one workstation and be able to control and run separate tests on a separate workstation also running QF-Test on the same network. Thank you in advance for your support.

Best Regards,

Oscar
