Hi Juan,

this depends on the utilized dependency.

In Java/Swing you can normally do something like this:

txt = rc.getComponent("id-of-textfield")
myText = txt.getText()

getText() also works on Web and some SWT applications as well.

Instead of implementing a script you can also try the 'Fetch text' node to read the current text of the component.
