Hello Maryam,
well, if there is any FMM (Frequently Made Mistake :-) ) it seems to be using variables directly in SUT-Scripts. Change the lines:
#get types of links
value1 = $(linkType1)
value2 = $(linkType2)
#get types of links
value1 = rc.lookup("linkType1")
value2 = rc.lookup("linkType2")
and I guess everything will work fine.

Subject: [QF-Test] accessing local variable in an SUT script

Hi all,

I have the following sequence in my test case:

-          set variable (to some default value)

-          use an SUT script to get a new value for this variable; reset value of variable using setLocal

-          do some processing

-          use another SUT script to get the value of the same variable using $(variableName)

This sequence, when run, shows that the value of the variable has been picked up by the latter script, but also gives a NameError message. Can somebody please tell me where I am going wrong?

Maryam Umar

p.s. attached is the run-log file for the latter script
