Hi Alfred,

please try following:

QF-Test deals only with string at the procedure-call level, so your
approach won't work.
The alternative would be to use $[] syntax, which calls the
Jython-interpreter directly, $[${device:Switches.32323}[0]], but this
approach only works with 2.1.0 because of a bug in previous QF-Test

My Property file:-

Switches.3232 = ['',]

My Server Script

print ${device:Switches.3232}[0]

My Server Script Output:-

However, when I try to call a procedure and pass a variable called
deviceIP and substitute the value to it under the variable definitions
like this

Variable definitions

Name Value

deviceIP ${device:Switches.3232}[0]

It expands as "['',][0]" and is passed as variable to the
function instead of the expected

Is there a straight solution to overcome this issue?

Please help.
