Hi all,

according to the issue above following issue came up.

	Hello Martin:
I am not moving the qftest base from machine to machine. But my
SWING application that I want to test run on different machine with
	different IP address.
I notice that record (Windows and Components session) show some
record component is associated with the IP address of application
	running machine.
	i.e. SessionPanel tabAdmin_172.26.9.3_(default)
	     Spacer tabAdmin_10.6.3.8_(default).com2

I want to know how to make my test portable to test the
	application running on different machines.

	Regards,
	/Chong

The solution is following:

	Hello Chong,

	thank you for clarifying this.

QF-Tests creates these component-ID's, because your application
seems not to use setName for its components.

In this case QF-Tests uses the title or a text of a frame, panel,
dialog, etc. to create its ID. You have now to figure out, which
component has the IP-address in its feature. That can be done via
walking through the recorded Windows&Components and looking where
the feature textfield, contains an IP-address.

IF you've found this or these components you have to check the box
"use as regexp" beyond the feature textfield and replace the IP
address by an regular expression, which matches any IP-addresses.
If you do so, QF-Test will recognize the components, independently
from the IP-address, but it won't change the ID of the component,
because that's only for distinguishing all components within
QF-Test. All components, which have the according panel or frame as
parent component, will also be recognized by the feature-change and
	don't need any special treatment.

For more details about regular expression, please see the chapter
	"Regular Expressions" in the manual.

Please see also following thread in our mailing list about how to
use regular expressions in the feature textfield:

Regards,
Martin
