no answers yet... and I don't really have one either.

Your guess that lack of access to a display may be the cause of the
problem is reasonable. In that case there's practically nothing we can
do as your SUT is not going to run anyway. Have you tried running any
(Java) GUI program from cruisecontrol?

Aren't you getting any output from qftest or the SUT? Have you tried
redirecting its output to some file to capture it?

Also, please clear the qftest/log directory, then send me its contents
after a failed cruisecontrol run. Perhaps there's some info there.

And finally, if qftest really is frozen, i.e. deadlocked, please try
to determine its process-id and run

sendsignal.exe process-id

Sendsignal.exe is provided in qftest's bin directory. Again, you may
need to redirect qftest's output to get hold of the thread-dump that
is triggered by sendsignal.
