Thanks for your reply. We are indeed using a class derived from JTable, and it does have its own convertColumnIndexToView implementation. I've spoken to the developer responsible for it, though, and he's confident it's correct (based on other code which uses it functioning as expected).

Could you send me the information on how to (dis)prove the hypothesis?
