[QF-Test] Reading the text of a selected item in a drop down list

  • Subject: [QF-Test] Reading the text of a selected item in a drop down list

I have a drop down field in my SUT. I select an item based on a partial wildcard and then want to read the contents of the item selected.

To illustrate:

The drop down may list first name and data of birth. Thus the list may be:

John 01/01/1973

Steven 02/02/1980

Suzy 03/03/1975

William 04/04/1978

I select based on firstname.* (John.*) and it selects the item John 01/01/1973

I now want to retrieve the complete contents of the selected item so that I can get the date.

How do I do that?
