[QF-Test] Chinese characters in QFT

Hi,

We are using QFT for the automation of encoders/multiplexers like broadcast equipments. In one of the automated test case, I need to extract Chinese characters(simple & traditional) from a log file (.txt file) & assign them to a variable (global variable) in QFT for further processing.
We have a procedure which accesses the analyser & generates .txt log file on one remote machine. Same procedure copies/transfers the content of the log file(whole content including Chinese characters & normal English) to a global variable in QFT.
Now I am facing a problem that while data getting assigned to variable, Chinese characters gets corrupted & it becomes useless for further processing. I tried several ways to overcome this using Jython script, but it is of no use. So can any one suggest me how to get proper Chinese characters in variable in QFT from log file?
Thanks for your valuable reply.
