Hi Adesh,

Tables composed of complex elements are not the easiest to play with. Performing a click in the right spot is quite simple, but checking for the status of the checkbox (hence the need to click or not) could require a bit of scripting.

If you are playing with tables you should make yourself familiar with chapter I.6 of the manual: Sub-Items of complex GUI components.

In a nutshell, if you have:

·         the row number in the variable $(row)

·         he column number in the variable $(col)

·         the id of your table is: myTableId

then you can click at the right cell using a MouseEvent node, targeted to the component: myTableId&$(col)&$(row).

Have a look at the manual as it will teach you how to access cells in a way that could better suite your test, like directly by column name.

Cheers,

Denis GAUTHIER

Subject: [QF-Test] How to click a checkbox in a table

I have a checkbox in a table. I can get the index for the spot where the checkbox is i.e. I can get the row and col nbr.

How do I get  QFTest to click the checkbox at that spot?

In the screen shot below I show one row but the table could have multiple rows and I would need to click the check box on more than one row.
