Hello Klaus,
The way I set up the test scripts is to create individual test scripts files, then have a test harness that calls each test (the test set). One of those tests is a navigation test to make sure the application opens and users can get to the screens. Each individual test has a setup and cleanup so it can run by itself, but when called from the test harness, which also had a startup/cleanup, the startup/cleanup is not used on the individual test script. So the test harness has one startup/clean which runs only once no matter how many tests it calls.
