Hi Plamen,

that's a good question. I'm tentatively learning my way around Android
and adb at the moment, but so far the priority is relatively low -
native Windows and improved/extended browser support are more

Still, we're keeping an eye on things. Currently iOS and Android apps
are almost exclusively low-priced and consumer oriented, but if the
smartphone/tablet hype continues Android is bound to become a serious
platform for business applications and then there might be enough of a
market for QF-Test to warrant a new engine.

While we're discussing this: From a developer's point of view, would
it be sufficient (or at least a good start) to automate the emulator
or apps on the emulator? By automating the emulator one wouldn't need
to support the usual zoo of apps (Java, native, web on a number of
different browsers), but geometry mapping could become a pain. Still -
maybe that's better than nothing.

For automating apps in the emulator or on a real device, root access
will most likely be a prerequisite. Tricky...

Well, I'll gladly listen to suggestions about the best approach for
interacting with Android at whatever level is required to monitor GUI
events and components and inject artificial events.

Best regards,
