Re: [QF-Test] Recognitions problems
Hi Yossi, please see my comments in-line. Please reply to me directly. Regards, Martin
We are working on an eclipse based application call "Neon", so far we are facing some recognitions problems in the following areas: 1. Code completion 1.1 Code completion elements box - doesn't have the option of checking the entire list of elements (like in eclipse)
I tried to record a check on that list in the normal Eclipse, but get an error, that the widget is already disposed. I think, we need to further investigate this.
1.2 Code completion hovering box - the yellow box that holds info on each element can't be recognize at all
That's also something I need a closer look at.
2. Top Menu bar - QFTest for swing applications has a way to recognize all menu options under each top menu option (such as "File" Edit" etc) This is not working for the application we are working on - It is possible to add component only by clicking on it (for example: go to File->Save) I know there is a way to use F12 while recording but unfortunately this isn't working either
The component recognition button works at my Eclipse. But the default shortcut is F11. F12 activated check-recording. Could you try following: Press F11 in your application Check whether the record-component-button is activated in the QF-Test GUI. Make a right-click at the menu-bar and select "Component with children" or "whole window"
3. A specific text box is been recognize as a different component every time the application starts These components (textboxes) are part of a dialog that responsible for adding server id for list of servers The component gets different serial fragment every time the application starts For example: org.eclipse.php.internal.server.ui.ServerWizardFragment_c1bb13.text Please open the attached file for a clearer image
Could you send me two test-suites containing such differences?
For purposes of simulating you are welcome to download the same application we are working on here: http://www.zend.com/downloads Zend Studio for Eclipse ("Neon" beta)
For downloading I need an account. Do you have a test-account or do I have to register?
