Hi all,

We have a problem when trying to locate a dialog component in one of our tests. The dialog has a title that includes the hostname of the machine it is running on. We run the same tests on several different machines; we would like to use the same tests for consistency. The problem we have is that QFTest cannot locate the component if it has not been taught the dialog box and its internal components using the record feature.

We have tried using a global variable to hold the hostname and inserting it in the component id as follows…

However qftest cannot find the dialog when the hostname is filled out. We’re stuck on this one any suggestions would be great.

Thanks in advance

Craig Wanstall
