Hello Martin,

If you really want to use your own user in the tests, you have to read the
password out of an encrypted file and set the password variable in an
server-script node (Insert Node -> Control structures -> Server script) to
the according value. If you do so, you won't see the password in the
test-suite window itself, but you could still see the password in the
run-log. But that might be the best approach.

My coleagues are clever enough to get my password out of the run-log, so this is not an option for me. :-)

Our recommendation for testing with a logon-screen is to set-up certain
test-users with a pre-defined set of permissions, independent from any
test-engineer. So each tester can start the tests without having permission
problems.

That's what I'm considering at the moment.

BTW: At QFS we have also internal discussions about how to handle passwords
in QF-Test as well.

Would be a nice to have. But I understand it is not easy to implement in a secure way.

Thank you for the quick reply and support,

Rado
