Re: [QF-Test] Printing from SUT when print-dialog is outside SUT
We faced this problem and solved it by calling the AWT Robot from a SUT script. If you only want to press a key like <Enter> or <Esc> to validate/close, this will do the trick quite easily.

I am trying to test some Print functionality from our SUT. My problem is that clicking the Print button in the SUT, opens a standard windows print dialog (like the one that Microsoft Word opens), and QFTest does not recognize this dialog. So I have no idea how to actually get it to print and I can't close the modal Print dialog from the script either. I am not interested in testing the print dialog - only to get my print and continue the script.
Maybe some of you have already found a smart way of doing this. I was thinking something like finding a freeware capture/replay tool for Windows - record the sequence where I push the Print button on the Windows dialog and then call the simple script from my QFTest. But I would like to hear some opinions before I start searching and testing freeware tools. :-)
