please try following:

		${jython:${device:Switches.3232}[0]}

QF-Test deals only with string at the procedure-call level, so your
approach won't work.
The alternative would be to use $[] syntax, which calls the
Jython-interpreter directly, $[${device:Switches.32323}[0]], but this
approach only works with 2.1.0 because of a bug in previous QF-Test
versions.
