Hi Jiri,

as I know qftest doesn't have such a method, but you can use rc.check()
in such cases.

	myVarValue = rc.lookup("variable")
	rc.check(myVarValue != "", "Variable shouldn't be empty", rc.ERROR)

Or you implement a usual if() checking like:

	myVarValue = rc.lookup("variable")
	if myVarValue != "":
		#do something
	else:
		#var is empty
