Privacy Policy

Data processing in general

1. Purpose and scope of personal data processing

We are processing personal data of our users just when it is required for providing a functional website and our contents and services. The processing of personal data just happens regularly after consent of the user (e.g. name, address, e-mail address for requesting a trial license, a quotation or subscription for our newsletter, webinar newsletter or the mailing list). An exception are cases when a previous consent is not possible due to real reasons and the processing of data is permitted by legal regulation.

2. Legal basis for the processing of personal data

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data.

In the processing of personal data required for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.

Insofar as the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.

In the event that the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Article 6 para 1 lit. d GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.

3. Data erasure and storage time

The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Furthermore, data may be stored if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other provisions to which the person responsible is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.

Server data

1. Description and scope of data processing

Due to technical reasons among others the following data provided by your web browser is stored by our provider in so called server log files:

  • Browser type and version
  • The web page you are coming from (Referrer URL)
  • Date and time of your access
  • Your internet protocol (IP) address

These anonymous data are stored separated from your personal data possibly provided and does not allow conclusion to a dedicated person. Data may be used for statistical purpose to optimize our web presence and offers.

2. Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the temporary storage of data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

3. Purpose of data processing

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user's computer. For this the IP address of the user must remain stored for the duration of the session.

4. Duration of storage

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the version information, this is the case when the respective session has ended. To detect web service failures up to security issues the data are stored for 42 days and then automatically deleted.

5. Possibility of appeal and elimination

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility of objection on the part of the user.

Cookies

We do not generally use cookies on our website. Occasionally, cookies are used to store data on the technical session management in your browser's memory. These data are deleted when you close your browser. If, under exceptional circumstances, we also wish to save personal data, such as a username, in a cookie for marketing or webpage optimization purposes pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, you are made aware of this.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. However, most browsers accept cookies automatically. You can prevent cookies being saved by changing your browser settings. However, not accepting cookies can impede the functionality of our offers.

Cookies are text files that are stored in the Internet browser or by the Internet browser on the user's computer system. If a user visits a website, a cookie may be stored on the user's operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic character string that enables a unique identification of the browser when the website is called up again.

Cookies will not harm your PC and do not contain any viruses or other tools which can cause damage.

Privacy policy for the use of Matomo

Our website uses the web analysis service Matomo (matomo.org). To carry out this analysis, Matomo uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored to your computer and provide analysis of your use of the site. The information generated by these cookies, such as time, place and frequency of your visits to our site, including your IP address, are transmitted to the Matomo server of our provider and partner WorNet AG in Germany and stored there. As part of this process, you IP address is immediately anonymized so that you as user remain anonymous to us. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this site is not transferred to third parties. You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.

4. Possibility of appeal and elimination

Should you be unwilling to have this data about your use of the site stored and analyzed, you may at any time subsequently withdraw your consent to it being stored and used with a click of the mouse. A so-called opt-out cookie is then placed on your browser, and as a result Matomo will no longer collect any data on your visits. Please be aware that, should you delete cookies from your browser settings, the opt-out cookie from Matomo may also be deleted and will need to be reactivated.

Use of Google-Maps

We use the “Google Maps” component of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google.”

Google sets a cookie in order to process the user configuration and data when the page with the integrated “Google Maps” component is displayed. As a general rule, this cookie is not deleted by closing the browser, but rather expires after a certain time, as long as it is not previously manually deleted by you.

If you do not agree with this processing of your data, you may choose to deactivate the “Google Maps” service and thereby prevent the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use “Google Maps” or at least only to a limited extent.

Each time our website receives an access request equipped with a “+1“-component, the component prompts your browser to download an image of this component from Google. Through this process, Google is informed precisely which page of our website is being visited. As specified by Google, your visit undergoes additional analysis in the event you are not logged into your Google account.

If you access our site while logged into Google (You need a profile and public profile name at Google) and press the “+1" button, Google can collect information about your Google account, websites you recommend as well as your IP address, along with other browser-related information. Privacy policy for the use of youtube recommendation components in privacy enhanced mode

On this website, the controller has integrated components of YouTube. The operating company of YouTube is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, UNITED STATES. The YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, UNITED STATES.

We are using the option „ – privacy-enhanced mode – “

When you view a webpage that shows an embedded video there is will be a connection between the YouTube servers and the content is being shown via a message to the browser on the web page.

YouTube says that in „ – privacy-enhanced mode – “ just data to the YouTube server are transferred, especially which of our web pages were visited. When you are logged in at YouTube at the same time this information is attributed to your member account. You can prevent this in logging out from your member account every time before visiting our website.

Each time our website receives an access request equipped with a “facebook” component, the component prompts your browser to download an image of this Facebook component. Through this process, Facebook is informed precisely which page of our website is being visited.

1. Description and scope of data processing

On our web page there is the possibility of subscribing to a free newsletter, webinar newsletter or to the mailing list. If a user accepts this possibility, the data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to us and stored. Additional data are collected when subscribing to our mailing list:

  • Browser type and version
  • The web page you are visitng
  • Date and time of your access
  • Your internet protocol (IP) address

Your consent is obtained for the processing of the data within the scope of the sending process and reference is made to this data protection declaration.

When subscribing for the newsletter or webinar newsletter your email address and type of newsletter (newsletter or webinar newsletter) will be stored.

In this context, the data will not be passed on to third parties. The data are used exclusively for processing the sending of the newsletter.

2. Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing of data when subscribing for the newsletter is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR if the user has given his consent.

3. Purpose of data processing

The processing of the email address of the user serves us only for sending the newsletter.

The other personal data processed during the sending process serve to prevent misuse of the contact form and to ensure the security of our information technology systems.

4. Duration of storage

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. The email adress will be saved as long as the subscription of the newsletter is active.

5. Possibility of opposition and elimination

You can withdrawed your subscription anytime. Therefore you can find a corresponding link in every newsletter. Here is also the possibility to revoke your consent of saving the personal data which was collected during the subscription.

Request quotation form

When creating a quotation we collect and use your personal data just to process your request. These data are required for being able to create the quotation. When not providing them, we cannot enter into a contract.

We protect our website and other systems against loss, damage, access, alteration or circulation of your data by unauthorised people by implementing technical and organisational actions. To prevent unauthorized access of Third parties to your personal data the quotation request process is encrypted via SSL-technology.

Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing of those data. Our legimitate interest is the execution of a contract with you.

These data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. Exceptions to this are solely our service providers, which we need to process your order. Besides the recipients in the different clauses of this data protection notice the recipients are e.g. shipping providers, payment service providers, merchandise management service providers, service providers for order handling, web hosters, IT service providers. In all cases we strictly carry out the legal instructions. The volume of the data transfer is limited onto a minimum dimension.

Publication of vacancy announcements / online job applications

We electronically collect and process your application data for the purpose of completing the application process. If your application results in the conclusion of an employment contract, the data collected from you may be stored in your personnel file for purposes of normal organizational and administrative processes in compliance with appropriate legal requirements.

These personal data are being processed after the applicant’s consent when sending his application documents. Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of these data. You can reject your consent anytime for the future.

Upon rejection of your application, data you have provided is automatically deleted two months after notification of rejection. This does not apply in such instances where, due to legal requirements (such as the burden of proof obligation stipulated in the Equal Treatment Act) a longer storage period is necessitated or when you expressly agreed to have your data stored for a longer period in our database of prospective applicants.

Contact form and e-mail contact

1. Description and scope of data processing

There is a contact form and a form for requesting a free trial license on our website which can be used for electronic contact and frequesting the license. If a user accepts this possibility, the data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to us and stored. Examples can be:

  • Browser type and version
  • The web page you are visiting
  • Date and time of your access
  • Your internet protocol (IP) address

Your consent is obtained for the processing of the data within the scope of the sending process and reference is made to this data protection declaration.

Alternatively, you can contact us via the e-mail address provided. In this case, the user's personal data transmitted by e-mail will be stored.

In this context, the data will not be passed on to third parties. The data are used exclusively for processing the conversation.

The legal basis for the processing of data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR if the user has given his consent.

The legal basis for the processing of data transmitted in the course of sending an e-mail is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If the e-mail contact aims at the conclusion of a contract, then additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 exp. 1 lit. b GDPR.

3. Purpose of data processing

The processing of the personal data from the input mask serves us only for the treatment of the establishment of contact. In the event of contact by e-mail, this also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in the processing of the data.

The other personal data processed during the sending process serve to prevent misuse of the contact form and to ensure the security of our information technology systems.

4. Duration of storage

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. For the personal data from the input mask of the contact form and those that were sent by e-mail, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user is finished. The conversation is terminated when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the facts in question have been finally clarified.

The additional personal data collected during the sending process will be deleted.

5. Possibility of opposition and elimination

The user has the possibility to revoke his consent to the processing of personal data at any time. If the user contacts us by e-mail, he can reject the storage of his personal data at any time. In such a case, the conversation cannot be continued.

Please send us an e-mail. All personal data stored in the course of contacting us will be deleted in this case.

Information, deletion, blocking

You have the right to get free information on the personal data saved about you, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing at any time. You also have the right to correct, block or delete these data.
