Upgrades
QF-Test is available in several product variants which differ only in the
supported GUI technology.
For each product, development and runtime licenses are offered. Please see the
License Types page for details.
QF-Test version numbers consist of three parts, major version, medium version and
minor version or milestone, e.g. 3.4.0 (major=3, medium=4 and minor=0) or 3.4M1
(major=3, medium=4, milsteone 1). Licenses are generally valid for all minor
versions and milestones within the same major.medium version, plus all older QF-Test
versions.
For background information about the QF-Test versioning scheme, please see
The life-cycle of a QF-Test

Medium Upgrades
A medium upgrade is an upgrade between two versions of QF-Test with the same major
version number.
Users with a valid Maintenance Agreement can always upgrade to the latest QF-Test version for
free. This free upgrade is restricted to the same QF-Test product variant (see Product Variants page). Without Maintenance
Agreement, the price for the medium upgrade from version 3.2 to 3.4
(version 3.3 was just a development version)
is 20% of the current license price for the respective product. The corresponding medium
upgrade from version 3.0 to 3.4 is priced at 30%.
Major Upgrades
Users with a valid Maintenance Agreement for QF-Test are entitled to a free major upgrade for
all licenses covered by the Agreement.
For users without a valid Maintenance Agreement, license upgrades from a QF-Test version
older than 3.0 to QF-Test version 3.4 are available starting from 50% of the current
license price, depending on the old version.
Upgrade to an enhanced QF-Test product
Upgrading to another QF-Test product supporting additional GUI technologies (see Product Variants page) is possible at any
time. For further information or an individual offer, please contact qfs@qfs.de.
